Bad Blogger

My intent when starting this blog was to routinely update it with cute pictures and stories about what our family has been up to. It has been 40 days & nights since my last blog... and since a lot has been happening in the Verrette household since the last post, I must just be bad, lazy blogger. My blogging card should be taken away...

Since the last post, Ireland has started 2nd grade (we're already over a month into the school year and she's doing great!), Blair's mother and sister came to visit over Labor Day weekend, we traveled to Amarillo for our first baby shower (I'll post pictures within the next few days, promise!), the official start of Autumn (my favorite season) arrived and with it at least a few cooler days, and the 2009 college football season has started!!! LSU, by the skin of their teeth, are 4-0. They do play at Georgia this Saturday and then the Florida Gators come to Death Valley on the 10th, so we're just keeping our fingers crossed for the next two weeks.

Landry will be here in less than 5 weeks, so we've also been very busy getting the nursery ready for his arrival (and by "we", I mean Blair). He's done an incredible job with all of the painting and he even installed crown molding and chair rails - the works! It looks great and once things are a little more put together, I'll post some pictures.

I'm still feeling great! At all of my doctor's appointments everything has been just perfect with both Landry and myself, including my weight and blood pressure. He is moving ALL of the time and I still get the biggest kick out of it (pun intended). I love being pregnant and try not to take any of it for granted!
