Bah Humbug

Bah humbug. Not on our part, but on the jerky thieves who stole our Christmas decorations! With the baby and everything that goes with him (lack of sleep, energy, etc.) we decided not to put lights up on the house this year. We did, however, have a very cute lighted snowman and a brand new lighted puppy-holding-a-present-in-his-mouth for our front yard. Without lights on the house, I still felt that we were at least contributing something festive to our street with our yard decor!

Sunday morning Blair discovered that our snowman and puppy were missing. He thought it might have been a friend playing a joke (yes, we have those type of friends), but when he checked our surveillance cameras he saw two grown men stealing our stuff around 2:00am. I guess they hit several houses in the area. We did recover our snowman (the stupid, pathetic criminals found a different snowman they liked better and threw ours out into a neighbor's yard and took their snowman instead), albeit it's in pretty rough shape now. We also found one of the puppy's legs out in the street :( If these morons are stealing things to re-sell, they're not taking very good care of their stolen "merchandise".

It's pretty sad when you can't even leave Christmas decorations out for fear of them being stolen. I guess it could be worse, at least they didn't take Blair's LSU gnomes...

All I can say is that karma is a "B", especially CHRISTMAS KARMA. I hope they get coal and/or a severe beat down from Santa.
